East Asian Men don’t talk to me bc I’m Vietnamese
Nice TC. Is it with extreme stock growth?
Below snap, lyft, uber, airbnb, linkedin.
All one-dimensional companies with low growth potential
Well most of them use their products (JIRA) but most of them don't know Atlassian (As a company) That's the honest truth. I have heard good things about them
Say that again.
I did. Typo corrected* thanks
Honestly, the way I see it: atlassian is a reputable and recognized name. Not really considered prestigious in terms of talent (doesn’t mean talent is bad). But since you come from fb, having fb and atlassian on your resume and Stanford ms in cs... don’t think you’ll have problems getting interviews. Biggest knock on atlassian is comp, but yours is good for 3.5 yoe I think
Can i please get a referral?
Good? 3 yoe and 310k is crazy.
That’s not your TC. I know some of the higher ups. Atlasssian underpays by a lot. What are the numbers on your offer letter? Less than 250K I bet.
The principal TC is 285K and you’re not even a senior, so you’re like 3 levels below.
Principal TC is over 350K
Can I please get a referral?
Atlassian has a good name but the quality of engineering is low compared to most others. It has great culture and nice people but culture will not help your career.
I disagree with your statement. Culture is a huge factor in shaping up your career. Quality of engineering is subjective, there are good teams in Atlassian and bad teams (just like Apple has both and bad teams) But yes the perception outside varies but I know a lot of folks who got calls from Google, LinkedIn, Airbnb and got offers so you should be good.
@awwe: How is Salesforce culture? I am tired over here and 75% dip in stocks has made me looking outside. Is Salesforce any good for shaping one’s career
OP, How is Atlassian doing these days? Has covid impacted it hard?
Not impacted at all (know firsthand). Companies doing collaboration/teamwork software are going to marginally benefit from the COVID-19 situation, actually.
What is this mythical ranking that you talk about?
What is Coherent Logix?
It's a company. What do you do at Atlassian?
