Just came across a LinkedIn post about Atlassian layoffs. I saw some posts where people in Atlassian were saying that they are still hiring just yesterday. What's really going on? #atlassian #tech #layoffs
If layoffs are happening in a org like Atlassian then definitely the economy is screwed
Contractors
I too saw many Talent Sourcers let go from Atlassian
They are contractors nd their contract hasn't been renewed. No impact to FTE as of now But anything can happen, getting anticipated!
We are still hiring. We are cutting down roles right now though which will lead to less need for candidate experience contractors who are not being renewed for next year. No effect to FTEs. The founders have been very open and transparent about everything.
Contracts of recruiting contractors was not renewed.
Bro this has been discussed to death lol. We are slowing hiring. Founders are extremely transparent and have majority voting rights so not worried about layoffs right now. In the event circumstances change in the future and we actually have to lay off, laid off people will get generous severance packages anyways so no one is really that nervous about it over here. Our company is the only one I've worked at where it actually feels like they put employees first. You're not safe anywhere right now, but I feel better here than I would at most companies.
What's point of getting concerned 🤣. At this point, everyone has done layoffs.
No layoffs have been done, only contracts that were not renewed and that too for recruiters as we’re only hiring for Business critical roles
Atlassian hired too many in the last year or so. They need to lay off at least 50% to be a sustainable business.
Could be different departments?
Contracts of the recruiting contractors was not renewed.
