Hearing of it being introduced this year, is this actually happening? Is it 5%/10% for PIP/layoff? Any other concrete actions by the ex-Meta guy so far? Sucks to hear about this crap still proliferating. #atlassian

This year they moved from 3 to 5 point performance scale, bottom level expected to go on pip, around 6%. Orgs of 150+ will need to fit the curve. What’s important they removed clear performance indicators in favour of “subjective judgement“
When you say bottom level 6% expected to go on pip, is the goal to get rid of this bottom 6% ?
There’s no aim to push out. It’s just a process, where on the other end is a “consistent improvement“ or a termination of employment. No one would say words to the affect of “fire the lower performers”, in the corp speak it’s called “performance management” and helping people to get their performance back on track
It’s everywhere now…as a way to lay off people without paying severance.
