Hi All - I am planning to relocate and have got two options - Austin or Atlanta. Any recommendations what would be better a move for a long term stay?
Don’t know anything about Atlanta but I can tell you the cons of Austin: allergies, mosquitos, flies, intense humid heat during the summer (over 100 for many days), terrible traffic, and housing is expensive. Consider that property taxes are high in Texas and they increase consistently each year considerably (~8%).
You don't know humid until you have been to GA. 🤣 ATL also has mosquitoes with West Nile, flies, and traffic that makes AUS look like child's play.
I’ve lived in both Austin (3mo) and Atlanta (3yr) and the Atlanta traffic is significantly worse than Austin
Not both I moved to North Carolina it’s amazing in Raleigh

Stay where u are and work remotely
A suburb of Atlanta
Austin. Obvious choice
Atlanta suburbs are great
If you’re a geriatric middle manager, sure
Same as any major city. Focus on the nicer neighborhoods.
Austin. Don’t overthink this
Atlanta will be more affordable
Atlanta is much less safer than Austin these days. Plus Austin has the benefit of no state tax
Lol this comment is a joke
