Me and my spouse got in to back to back at fault accidents within 3 months recently on the same car. The insurance pay out will be more than 10k each. Is there a possibility that our auto insurance company (Farmers) will deny to give us insurance after that? We also had a non at fault accident in 2019. I'm not as worried about the premium increase as much. Unfortunate events happened due to stress, sickness etc... #travel Thanks.
Yes, their underwriting refuse to underwrite your policy. But it is very unlikely. More likely they refuse to underwrite because of the type of vehicle you drive.
What does that mean? What's underwrite
Insurance has an underwriting department that decides whether or not they will take you on as a customer, independent of price. For example, home insurance companies won’t underwrite homes with pit bulls due to excess liability.
Just sell car and use uber/lyft. Save money and seems like yours and others lives based on your driving history
If you have ever gotten in to an accident, you would understand that they are rarely connected to your driving capability. People make mistakes
Kids duties but Yeah still regretting
Have been in such a scenario with 2 at fault accidents in a year. Premiums increased that lasted a few years.
How much was the increase?
~50%
More likely to jack up the rates than to drop you

Thanks - that's ok. I don't want anything crazy to deal with like no one gives us auto insurance
