I've emailed various dealerships and negotiated a price for a new Honda car. However, when asked about the APR when met personally, all of them say that it should be around 4.99%. I've heard many people getting car loans at <= 2%. Anyone able to get APR around 2% recently (in the last 1 month) ? TC: 165k
If manufacturer offers low Apr, they usually are subsidized and cash purchase will have a thousand or two dollars cash back. So, either way it is not a real Apr comparison.
My credit union is offering 2.49% apr. I did that a couple years ago. Not sure how they make money, lol.
Dealerships act as middlemen to get a commission on APY! Never trust a car dealership. Big banks will ask for high rates as well. Only Credit unions offer less than 3%
