I have been wondering if I should start a YouTube channel given the recent AI craze where bunch of them help in getting the job done faster. Use that as secondary source of income that later allows me to have decent income when I want to break from my high paying Tech job. I have been in the tech industry for over 15 years and have done decently well. Options considered: 1- Continue to put in more effort towards the tech career which can help to grow Annual income by 100-200K per year. 2- Invest in startups through a VC firm ( likely where you can be closer to decision making process) 3- Do more options trading etc. looking at recovery in the market and be an active trader. 4- Start faceless automated YouTube channel, complemented by affiliate marketing etc. I don’t plan to spend more than 3-4 hrs. per week now but want to build a mechanism to be able to come out of tech job in future… next 5 years with an alternate source that will allow for at least 500K income annually with less than 15-20hrs per week. While all the above have potential to generate extra income I feel Youtube and general video posting skills can be monetized in several different ways. I would love to hear thoughts and inputs from folks considering to come out of their high paying tech jobs or have tried starting their own channel in the past. Why is “continue investing in SPY” not your number one method of growth?
Bruh live a little. You make 900k with 3M net worth and you’re thinking about YouTube channels!
