6 years of experience, got an offer last week for an AVP role in compliance (middle office). (I'm currently an associate). Looking to renegotiate, but looking for some feedback and some numbers because glassdoor is way too broad.
Depends on the location. In tristate area, I would say 70-90k would be a good range. 100k would be the very top end if you have some very specific skill set that they need.
doesn’t that sound low for 6 years of exp...full disclosure I don’t know much about TC for compliance but that sounds low compared to other jobs on blind.
Thank you! I've noticed misized banks (Investors, Cross River) in NY/NJ start AVPs at 70k and that is at least 8-10 yrs of experience. I was hoping these big banks paid at least 130k and up. Wishful thinking.
At wells an avp in compliance will pay you between 90 to about 115k base plus a 15% bonus. It doesnt exactly match up since we use our avp and VP titles differently.
You mean we give them out like Halloween candy?
Yep, and they are pretty meaningless.
How about VP?
Too much responsibility come with that title. I wannabe with the collective.
50% of JPMC are VPs, lol. VP is the most junior title that isn't up or out.
🥜
How much you got? I think it should be around 100-120k
Let me know if anyone wants referral..
Depends on the location. Usually it’s 🥜 when compared to tech companies.
no just noooooo, these are bs jobs and pay are worse than peanuts
How much do VPs get in a compliance role at these banks (eg technology compliance)?
