Folks from Microsoft India can you please chime in ? From what I know so far, people get 50% of target bonus if they "meet expectations", but this is too "general" IMO and more details would help. Also interested in the refreshers part since I recently got an offer and super low balled with on-hire stocks. Current TC: 37.5 LPA (base) and 5 LPA stocks Offered TC for L63 (~11 yoe) - 40.5 (base), 28k stocks, 0-30% performance, 7 (joining bonus)
Yes stocks are low. In other threads, L62 are given 70-80k of the stocks. But it can vary a lot between offer to offer.

This is my guess. I might be wrong. I think HR is trying to fit you into L63 bracket. Base of 40.5 is on the high end of L63. This is usually average L64 base ( mentioned in other threads). 28k over four years boils down to 5 LPA per year. Max 30% of bonus will fetch you 12lpa. Total TC is around 57-58LPA. This looks more a L63 range. Average bonus is usually half of target range. Not sure if this is based on interview feedback.
A campus hire with 0 yoe gets 30k stock. That is a fact. If you accept anything less than that you're selling yourself short.

Yeah I know that. The recruiter is "acting smart" to say the least - wish I could show him Blind threads! That's why I want to know whether yearly stock refreshers are any good?
I wouldn’t say he’s trolling my base 5 year ago as 63 was 32 so I would be surprised if it were less than 40
I have seen L63 base ranging from 33-40 odd (blind)
I have seen 35 as average L63 base on blind. Not sure if base range has moved higher during last five years. But for sure stocks grant has increased in MS offer to remain competitive ( even seen 140 k grants in blind)
Hyderabad or Bangalore? Bangalore is a lot more expensive.
