Did you look for test manager postions?
Are you asking E6 SDET? There are very few of these people who meet the amazon description and level. (Far fewer than SDE 3s for sure!). Compensation should be inline with SDE 3s. The range is quite broad and depends on prior experience and current compensation. I would expect 200k-300k as a ballpark.

The job qualifications don't read as L6 but I wouldn't read too much into that. Just contact the recruiter and ask about level. If you are a 6 then they will hire you as such anyway. Good L6 SDETs are extremely rare so if you are recognized as such and interview well then this will give you quite a bit of leverage for negotiating.
Definitely doesn't feel like an L6, so I'd say $150-180 is a good range for total comp.

Not true. Depends on teams. Client facing apps have lots of QAs and SDETs. For example, Instant videos, cloud drive and Kindle across stacks. I'm pretty sure Amazon main app also have lots of test positions around the globe.
