If a person gets fired from AWS, is there a waiting period to reapply or statute of limitations? Would appreciate good feedback please.
This is specific for aws and not laid off, but terminated due to being put on plan and not meeting expectations.
Rally curious if there any aws employees that were fired and able to come back a couple years later.
If you were PIP'd and then let go for not improving, you can return after 6 months.
That's not true. When you are on a PIP and asked to leave it is a firing not a lay off. You can't go back
When I say let go, I mean fired. Also, considering I work at Amazon, I'm pretty sure I would know the policy.
Sounds extreme. If I were fired, I will not go back even if they invite me to. There should be other available jobs around.

True, but I'm looking at a completely different org there. Pupper...is that an absolute factual comment? If so, how do you know? Really curious. Thanks in advance!
When you get fired especially from Amazon you can never work there again
HR usually works the same way. They will have notes on individuals that are not rehire able, doesn't matter which org. Some employees will have caveats that leaves it up to hiring team, and of course the greenlight for rehire able.
Can someone in AMZN HR confirm that they maintain notes about terminated employees? As far as I know, storing the termination reason is illegal in many states.

For a lot of companies there is a permanent black mark for anyone fired or laid off. I wouldn't be surprised if aws has the same policies too
No way you get blacklisted for lay off. At MS they even give you a grace period to transfer internally.
Intel just started this policy that no laid off employees can ever come back
