Why would Satya be laughing? Look at hard data. AWS Market share and revenue numbers, not made up fake numbers that any other vendors provide.

Jedi

Amazon real_bezos Nov 14, 2019

Lol you do know that JEDI 10B$ is equal to AWS one quarter revenue right? That statement is not wrong. Microsoft Azure is good and catching up. But you saying AWS is not better than Azure just because of JEDI contract makes me wonder how you got into Google. After all, everyone knows that Amazon is hated by Trump.

That's all...?

Oracle 50shydsCly Nov 14, 2019

Thats not worth bragging. Aws getting desperate?

Amazon weeeeeeee Nov 14, 2019

Secretly AWS fears the rise of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Oracle 50shydsCly Nov 15, 2019

No, jasse fears larry

Amazon weeeeeeee Nov 14, 2019

On an infrastructure level, I think 2 years is a generous assessment. It’s probably closer to 4+.

Amazon rLHI20 Nov 14, 2019

As an Amazonian it dissapoints me to see how my fellow colleagues are talking about our lead. We really shouldn't get too comfortable just because we're ahead, we gotta step on the gas otherwise msft will eat our lunch in 5 years

Amazon weeeeeeee Nov 14, 2019

You can acknowledge the reality while simultaneously “step on the gas”.

Amazon rLHI20 Nov 14, 2019

Yes that's true

Facebook BUmm76 Nov 14, 2019

Having spent some time at both, two years might be a fair claim for IaaS but AWS sucks at PaaS and SaaS, far behind of Azure.

Microsoft itvA00 Nov 15, 2019

This. AWS folks need to understand that cloud is beyond IaaS..

Grab wopp Nov 15, 2019

I kinda disagree, everyone thinks PaaS is a great idea, but companies buy way way more IaaS in reality. That's one of the mistakes Azure made early on and then shifted more to IaaS after they fell behind. Source: worked in Azure for several years.

2 years is not that much of difference . I am excited to see the competition 🤘🏻.
