Elon: - Acquired his favorite boomer app where he spends 99% of his daily screen-time. - Paid 44b for a company that was losing 4m/day. - Fired 50% employees, so he didn’t acquire too much top talent by splashing all that cash. Twitter Board: - Failed to make the company profitable for over a decade, lucky to have Elon bail them out. - Had to act in the interest of the shareholders and not protect their own skin/employees. - Got a big payday out of it but were fired. Employees: - Quite a few of them were living on thin ice due to failing business and worsening “macroeconomic” conditions. - Got a decent payday from their vested stock. - 50% got fired, with 3 months’ salary (2 months WARN act + 1 month severance). Everyone else: - 🍿🍿🍿 - $$$ payout to shareholders in this “macroeconomic” climate for investing in a failing business. - Happy or sad depending on what they choose to see and believe. I agree it sucks for everyone whose lives were negatively impacted. But, I don’t see how everyone could’ve come out on top given how the situation played out over the last few months. Imo, everyone WON and LOST at the same time which is better than just one entity losing everything. TL;DR What’re your thoughts? TC: 180K #tech #twitter #elon #faang

Again, Elon lies. Ppl were not offered 3 months and fully vested stock. Thus the lawsuits
Why weren't people offered 3 months of severance? News link?
I'm a tweep who got laid off. We were not offered 3 months. He had to give us of 60 days notice per the WARN act. (Federal law) He did not give that notice before firing us, so he is legally obligated to keep us on the books as employees for that 60 day notice period This 60 days is separate from / not contingent on signing the severance agreement. It is protected by federal law. We are entitled under the acquisition agreement to receive the same severance policy as before - 2 months salary, equity that would have vested in the next 3 months, and our annual bonus prorated. We were offered 1-month of base salary as severance.
Pretty good summary
Twitter was very lucky to have a bakra in Elon.
The biggest shit show here is you not posting Tc.
Updated my 🥜.
We did not get 3 months severance

You don’t have to work and are getting paid for the next 3 months. Call it whatever you want
Elon is the best thing happened to Twitter
He is the best thing should happen to msft
I know it sucks but what if you owned Twitter or a company in general. What would you do?
Let the Twitter employees do the posting maybe? Our facts may not be right.
Elon is a dick
Elon did nothing wrong
It’s possible to believe the things Elon does but still treat other humans with decency and kindness
