I was on T-Mobile when I initially purchased my phone, although I switched providers and unlocked my phone later. Except the factory shovelware cannot be removed. Which includes an ad jingle every time I turn on my phone and all updates also having T-Mobile ads. Bad enough. Last week I purchased a smart watch with LTE, and when I try to set up the cell provider, it defaults to trying T-Mobile which fails because it is not my provider after all. So the phone I paid for has malware that plays invasive ads and prevents me from properly using accessories that I paid for. This is completely normal. Bonus: when I initially purchased the phone, it came with some child filter enabled for some reason that I had to spend 3 hours on hold with the customer service to get lifted. I could not access freaking Imgur in the meantime.
