I know there are multiple steps like 1. Reference check 2. Team match 3. Hire/No Hire decision from HC panel 4. offer letter rollout Can someone help with exact order of steps in chronological way? #amazon #google #meta #snowflake #uber #microsoft #databricks
1. Recruiter Screen 2. Hiring manager interview 3. Interview Loop 4. Presentation round 5. Hiring committee decision 6. VP/CEO approval depending on level 7. Reference checks
I didnt have Presentation round. Is it required for SWE?
No presentation for SWE
The reference check might blow you up especially when you come from Google. They will contact people working at Google using their connection without your consent. Not necessarily someone on your report chain, but could be a director in an adjacent org. Be prepared.
I recently interviewed for a PM role and had 1 HM call, 4 virtual on-site calls, followed by take home assignment and now called for final VP call. I feel it is a super intensive hiring process. Given I received final VP call, are they still eliminating candidates? In other words, do you short list multiple candidates for VP call? Any insight would be helpful!
