Has anyone recently interviewed at BCG Platinion for Senior Software Engineer role? I would like to get more insights on the interview process and what should I expect. Thanks in advance. #engineering #bcg #bcgplatinion #platinion #interview #software
I didn’t have to go through any coding exercise. Tech screen was mostly trivia questions in my area. One onsite was a walkthrough of a project I worked on, nitpicking on design choices and questioning based on that. Others too were similar. I heard from others that the work could get very taxing sometimes, if the client engagement is a short one, with tight deliverable dates. If you are working on an engagement with the management consultants and Maya(their design group) together, it could get quite demanding with you having to fit into their timelines. Most importantly, the travel. I spoke to an architect who told me that he was flying every mon-thursday to a Canadian client location from new york. If that sounds like your type, I think Platinion is a great place to work.
BCG Platinion actually has a pretty quick process for software engineers: after HR, you go through a technical 1 hour phone screen, and if you pass to the second round, you do a portfolio review where you do a presentation of transferrable skills from your previous experience to BCG, and another 1 hour technical interview. The technical questions are Leetcode medium

I had an offer from platinion 2years back, it was for a data engineering role though. Nothing crazy, one phone screen with a dev followed by onsite - 3 technical conversations with some architects on the team. If those go well, you will talk to their CTO/Partner. I went through all of them, they even made an offer but some personal priorities made me turn down the offer.
What are they looking for? I haven’t worked as consultant so I have no idea about the culture or interviews. Technical conversations are like case studies or actually something with coding?
