I've been a BI Analyst for over 6 years now, over multiple companies and levels. Went through a Data Analytics master's degree program. Became an expert on pushing the boundaries of Tableau making very complex feature rich dashboards. I've found that I enjoy Python/SQL ETL work more than dashboarding, and want to make the jump to Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer. Does anyone have tips on how to do this? I'm taking on more Python work that takes calculation burden from Tableau, connects to different data APIs, and disperses it all into separate SQL tables in a new schema at my current role as a step. It was satisfying improving workbook performance by 80% and making these pre-calculations and business logic platform-agnostic. Should I go through a Data Structures and Algorithms course? TC 160k

Should I learn AirFlow? Spark? I just feel like only knowing Python/SQL will get me laughed out of the interview
dbt and airflow would be easier to learn and very helpful. Spark will be useful for processing big data. Learn what you can at the job I would say, that's the easiest way to learn
