It’s not that hard. Really.

What did you get asked?

Amazon 😝🤣🤣s May 3, 2021

I passed snap. It’s easy as shit

Indeed 🤑SVremote May 3, 2021

How many LC hards did you get? And how was the system design?

Google Pvfw75 Mar 2, 2022

Same here. Easiest interview I've ever done in tech

During a sde2 interview(on-site), I was asked to implement a Segment Tree with some variants. And didn’t pass because I don’t know sh1t about it. Also the difficulty level between each round seems completely random. I got a medium next round and did the follow up and everything in 15 minutes.

Microsoft fightem May 3, 2021

Did they ask Segment tree directly?

Microsoft dog-moon May 3, 2021

No, it was disguised behind a scenario, but the interviewer mentioned that 30 seconds before she left.

Microsoft dog-moon May 3, 2021

The most annoying thing was that they refused to provide any feedback but asked for my feedback. Lol.

This always pisses me off

Microsoft fightem May 3, 2021

You should just say because of my own policy I cannot provide you any feedback.lol

Difficulty depends on your interviewer. Question difficulty is not standardized across the company. I got LC hard for phone screen and 3 LC hards during onsite. 1 LC hard was downgraded to a LC medium after I told the interviewer that I saw the question before. One of the LC hards was a custom DP. Maybe it's a LC medium. My FB interviews have always been easier than my G or Snap interviews, and I've gotten more challenging rounds at Google. Amazon has always been mostly LC mediums with low expectations on system design and LP for me.

What if the interviewer happens to be a high level competitive programmer ? Asking for a friend.

Snap redsnapper May 3, 2021

Joined snap recently. Was thinking I’m not going to pass but it really depend on how much the team likes you and how your skills are relevant to the job description

Don't have to share but do you mind, the level of difficulties in terms of LC you received on each roudns

Snap ventiMocha May 3, 2021

It’s not really hard. It really depends on how much attrition the team had and how badly they need people. Higher the attrition, lower the bar.

Facebook iuyh May 3, 2021

Honestly it’s quite easy to get Snap offers. Do you really think it’s that hard?

Verifone QfXk62 OP May 3, 2021

IMO and info collected from around, right now snap is what Pinterest was couple of years back. its just coz their application has huge demand but the team to manage the application itself isn't big.. they are churning huge volume of candidates. It id def above Fb and appears most of the questions are from LC too .. but way diverse

AT&T GVJT12 May 4, 2021

What level is senior research scientist in snap ? L4 or L5

Amazon beybeybey Jul 28, 2021

Pretty random. some interviewees are harder than others but in general it is same level like FB. (at least in my experience, I got L6 level offers from both companies. )

IBM txgufg Jul 28, 2021

FB asked questions from leetcode tagged ones. Is snap the same? I’ve the first coding interview shortly and have been looking only at snap tagged medium and hard ones

IBM txgufg Jul 28, 2021
