Question about Term Insurance

I'm working with an agent to enroll for the term insurance, I have submitted all the necessary documents including most recent pay stubs, now the agent came back asking for the past 3 years w2's as a proof of continous employment to have approval completed . Is this normal procedure, can I share my w2's with the agent ? AIG is the insurance provider, agent is from 3rd party. Tc :🥜 #misc
