How many of you support baby to have both mother and father surname if it’s different? Is it common these days. My wife is very particular about including her surname with our child.
Lol what about a new surname that belongs to neither of you
i wanted to do this and know a few people who have. my apparently trad wife wouldn't go for it, everyone has my name
Well, it does make sense. If it was in my power and no socital pressure or judging, I would give only my wife's surname to my kids.
Yes. This makes sense completely. World got it wrong from beginning
What a selfish person you are. How about just your wife's surname, and leave yours? How would you feel about that huh? Freaking cavemen Can't believe your pregnant wife has to deal with this BS, on top of everything else
Please make sure, you discuss all aspects with your spouse or your future spouse, before getting a child in the world.
FWIW, my kids have two last names. Mine and my wife's first last name. That is common in certain countries. If you want to do that, don't overthink it and just do it. It is not a big deal
Out of curiosity, which countries?
Many Hispanic countries have two last names 😊
If you decide to give both surnames do the child a huge favor and don’t add hyphens and stuff in the name. It is a nightmare filling applications with a special character in the name.
What will you put in the last name field of any application ? Is the last name going to be one word with names attached together. I am asking this because many of the times, last name fields in application allow only one word with no spacing.
To be honest, I've never experienced that
I’m Hispanic, this is normal for us
TC? Also, wife’s and baby’s future TC?
If they are long surnames it’s not going to be pleasant
That's between you and your wife. Don't drag the Internet into it.
