Backend engineer at Squarespace

Software Developer at Goldman Sachs for 4 years now. I have been working mostly in java on the non-legacy code/ building new stuff out kinda projects. I have an offer from Squarespace that I am seriously considering. 1. Can anyone shed some light on the company culture and technology at Squarespace? 2. Does 4 years of experience qualify me for a senior engineer in Squarespace? I heard that this title is very dependent on the company. Other companies that I have offer from are giving me this title. Thanks in advance!

Move man. Don't stay at Goldman. I had offers from other companies as well. I did a big mistake of not leaving early last year

^ I had an offer here in the past as well. Would love to know what's wrong since my friends there still seem to like it

I’m sure the Goldman bonus this year was lit though

Go for it. It'll add some variety and freshness to your skill set (and future resume). Don't let the title issue affect your decision too much - at 4 years, it's not uncommon to be in that gray area.

Makes sense. Good advice TKpg12. Thanks!

Did you end up deciding to move? I currently have an offer from them as well and am not sure if I should stay at GS for TC or move to work on something new and in a different industry.

I would recommend moving out of GS on a good note and try something new. You can always go back. Life is too short to not try new things!

How was your interview with squarespace difficulty wise? How much time did they take to get back with an offer?
