Bad new hire experience here
I got hired by a very well known global company recently. And this company is more well known than my previous employer Salesforce. They sent me a second-hand laptop (macbook 2017) for my main PC, and this laptop has a lot of scratches all over it. Moreover, they have packed it inside a Lennovo Thinkpad box… I sent a message to my manager about this, he was very surprised and shocked. Not sure that he was acting or not. He promise to send me a new one with the latest specs. I am really disappointed, a big global company treats its employee like this. Should I leave this company earlier? FYI, I am a FTE. TC: 120K ( 🥜?) #newhire

There is a global chip shortage currently , a lot of companies are doing the same as new devices are not in stock. Again it's a work laptop and it should not matter whether its old or not.
Ridiculous. At Amazon, the worlds most frugal company, we get a new laptop for every day. It’s always the latest and has never been seen before by another human

And Salesforce here sent me a broken laptop and I have been using it for 6 months cuz there’s no stock. I am stuck at SFDC.
