They will lose. Legal at Amazon would have reviewed this decision knowing it will be challenged and would have cleared it. It's smart move by Amazon to get more money and satisfy shareholders. No meaningful number of Prime subscribers are canceling cause they gotta see ads. If you disagree put your money where mouth is and short the stock 🤷
Stop paying for Prime. I stopped it for the next cycle and then I’ll see if I really need it. The ads triggered my response.
Price will always win. Shit is cheaper on Amazon. It’s delivered to my doorstep. And I get 5% cash back with my prime card
The class action is for people who paid annually. Smart lawyer/plaintiff deserve to get their payoff. Amazon legal that didn't see this coming should be axed (they should have made it so that ads activate on renewal; but Amazon is not organized enough; rather pay the penalty than organize the company)
