you can have improved life style with that kind of money! London is shit
It is also growth. Have stagnated in London for the last 7 years with no growth prospects in sight
What about kids education in Bangalore vs London?
What about that ? If they are Brits, they wouldn’t do their graduation in India. They probably wouldn’t be athlete or grow with anything besides certain skills in cricket and soccer. Everything else could be same, but with an extra bit of immense competition.
What’s the fixed comp?
In india 50 lpa base + 15% bonus + stocks.
You would have growth options, I mean in terms of future switch. Since you mentioned you have a home in Bangalore your major expenses are going to be kids education and life style based. I would say 50 - 50 or lean towards London. Atleast you will have better education and more in hand there.
Why would you move to Bangalore? Most people are trying to move to a developed country. If you have kids, it will be tough readjusting to a new culture.
I have an offer from Bangalore and am planning to accept it as well. What's the problem with Bangalore?
Are you moving with family? Do you have kids? The main problem is kids and how they will adapt
Don't, don't. You are making the same mistake my friend did, he hates it there now. Don't romanticize life back in India, you'll be miserable there. Folks desperately are trying to move out of Bangalore, Quality of Life is shit there.
Could you point out some specific pain point your friend faced? I am planning the move, would love to hear others
L5 for 15 ex is stagnation at the level. On the question, I did this move from London to India a few years back. Love it
Did you move with family and kids? How did they adapt?
Yes. Wife and a kid. Kids adapt really fast. It took me the most time to get back to being desi
If you're taking a transfer, then go for Google Pune. Google benefits, plus no Bangalore issues. The office is at a place which I personally like. The weather is as comfortable as Bangalore

What are your yearly savings in London? Do you have your own house in Bangalore?
I have houses in both places. London economy is a bit gloomy at the moment hence thinking of moving back
Bangalore life will be much easier. I doubt money is the primary factor for you
