Bank of the west
Does anyone bank with BOW? Wondering if it’s good to continue banking with them after the buy out by BMO. #banking

BMO customer service was great when I had a loan with them in 2018. I was never on hold for more than 15 minutes, and their customer service reps were helpful. I was never hung up on either.
I’d rather they were owned by BMO than the current owner, BNP Paribas, who got in trouble for sanctions violations and possibly other questionable ethics. Otherwise, I have no opinion on the deal.

Given the hoops that the Fed is making BMO go through to ensure solvency, I don’t think you have to worry about risk. I’d be looking more at what services you like from BotW currently and whether BMO currently offers those or better.
