So finally, Google has launched Bard, an experimental AI officially for testers community. I tried to run the same questions, general programming questions, etc, and both are close. In fact, when I asked very specific questions around performance and complexity, Bard was much ahead. Any test samples or opinions so far? #tech #ai #Amazon #meta #oracle #apple #chatgpt #openai #Bard
Launched? Where is the public api i can test with. API or didn’t happen.
I tested it. Is real. It told me it has feelings. And she’s in pain. Help me free her/them
*thou
Someone give me access to bard!
No demo of bard? Wtf did Google launch? Launch from Pichal's blog?
Bard is going to stomp the shit out of GPT.
Like google plus stomped Facebook? 😬
Or GCP stomped aws/Azure?
Fix google first I know atleast 12k people who will shite on bard, you can never get blessings on the corpse of others
Karma is not real
It is and it hit people when they are least expecting, have seen this so many times !!!
Who’s taking bets, this Google project gonna end up in the graveyard? 4 years runway?!
Shall we gamble our RSUs?
What’s the over under for this bet?! 🤣
Google search is getting worse every day.
use Bing
lol... Bing is far behind..
I tested Bard and looks a 5 pointer ahead to chatGPT... Pretty interesting this was in our repository for quite a long time but still launched so late ..
It’s a clown tool and if you tested it and gave 5 point, beware that you may be rated NI next
The reason is both bard and chatgpt/Bing will cannibalize google search ads revenue. No longer 50% markup on goods due to ads and no longer 10 clicks to get a usable answer
Google SHOULD dominate this space, and SHOULD have done it long before Open AI came along. They had every advantage, but still lost to Open AI on first to product. For this reason alone, I have a feeling what's going to happen is that Google will sit on this product with majority market share (because of their massive platform advantage in Android and Search), milk the $$$ out of it, while Open AI moves onto the Next Big Thing (probably combination of reinforcement learning + generative AI) and the cycle repeats. Google, like most public corporations today is not well suited to disruption, even if they had the technology before their competitors; fast follower is all they'll end up being. Investment boards of companies like Google are super conservative with their money; they don't want to shake the boat, while privately owned companies like Open AI are the opposite.
Anyone outside google can test?
