Is it true that base salary at AWS is capped at 160K at all cities except NY and SF?

Ugh no. Rsu take an immediate haircut of your income tax rate if sold within one year. Also if you understand time value of money, a dollar earned today is worth more than a dollar earned in a year.

My response was just in response to salary being capped. Of course RSUs would get taxed at your marginal tax rate regardless of if you sell them immediately, but how is that different than a higher salary?
