Bay Area - how prepared are you for the big one?
Have you prepared your home or identified hazards? Do you have a plan with family or friends? Made or bought a kit? If yes how have you prepared? If not why?
We've got water, food, lights, a generator, and first aid supplies. One kit like that thats good size in our garage and one smaller version in each car.
I have an emergency kit that I bought on amazon. And water bottles. But haven’t done any serious prep of the house itsel

Seismologists believe we're about ten years overdue for a mag 7+. There is a 99% chance of a 6.7 or stronger in the next 30 years. It's not necessary imminent but doesn't seem like many people take the risk seriously, very few folks making plans for family, home, etc.
I've got a grab bag for emergencies that I keep near the door. Also made note of evac routes for a tsunami, though that's less likely. My building is super old and near the Hayward fault, so...
I bought two emergency backpacks with supplies for three days and keep them in our cars.
Yes i have planned. I dont live in a natural disaster zone.

This was posted in SF Bay but congrats 🤔 If you're in the pacific northwest (Seattle?) the Cascadia faultline could be dramatically worse than anything in California
Very prepared. I’ve liquidated all of my assets and purchased bit coin. Can’t think of a better way to prepare.

What supplies?
Two weeks of food and water, tools, emergency kit, cash, batteries, flashlights, candles, etc.
