Has anyone had AAA auto insurance? I currently am having GEICO and thinking of switching to AAA. The price gets reduced by $10 monthly. But the more important reason is that price will get locked for a year. GEICO increased the 6 months premium from 480 to 530 to 600 now (at completion of each 6 month period). I am in California.
I have been with AAA for 8 years, I’m happy.
I had one incident (not my fault) and it was handled great. The guy at the body shop said AAA is one of the best insurance companies to deal with
I have had them for more than 4 years too... absolutely no issues!
Honestly, cannot complain... and I LOOOOVE to complain.
I switched from AAA to Geico a month back, AAA was increasing cost every year even thought I had no ticket or accidents. Plus, Geico also has a million dollar coverage with just $24 extra for 6 months. Haven’t had to deal with accidents yet so no idea how it will be handled
I had AAA for a long time. I had to use it once, too. It’s fine, if you get a decent premium why not. However — and mark this WELL. You will never again come across a less technically sophisticated insurance company. Basically the only way to pay your bill is to mail in a hand written check, in an envelope they provide you. It is actually another insuarance company that has been branded as “AAA insuarance,” to expand AAA inc.’s marketable service offerings. Business hours are bizarre and random but definitely similar to a bank. Calling AAA is like calling a completely different company than calling AAA insurance. The only similarity is the logo. As far as I know, there is legitimately no way to do ANYTHING online. Anyway, it worked for me for many years. But I recently switched to Geico, where everything is automated and paperless via a modern website and I was like “man, are you kidding me?” For me, it would be worth the extra money just to have the ability to interact with a website. And actually, geico is considerably cheaper for me than AAA insurance, anyway.
Did you reach out to Geico to check what's causing the increase? That helps drop the $$. I've also switched between Geico to AAA and then back - my costs went down by over 40% in the last 2.5 years, with no change in coverage.
I've been with aaa for many years. They are good and treat you great if you get in an accident on the road. All other ways you might need them, they struggle a bit
When posting Insurance questions it’s best to include your state. Rates are adjusted locally (and regulated at the state level) so answers from people in a different state may be completely irrelevant to you. Customer service part would be the same though.
AAA also has a $60 membership fee. But it offers others discounts as well.
Yeah I have that membership. Took it with a friend (legally allowed) and pay $38 per year.
