Become a Remote Summer Mentor with Close the Gap!
Close the Gap is a 100% volunteer run 501c3 nonprofit organization that exists to create future without opportunity gaps. We’re looking for mentors that want to volunteer with us to mentor a high school fellow for ~1 hour a week. You’ll work with them on career and soft skills like resume building and public speaking, as well as have opportunities to meet other like minded working professionals part of close the Gap’s Network. The Fellows get a free MacBook and are low income high school students in PT time zone (California, Oregon, Washington) It’s not required that you identify as having grown up first gen (first in your family to attend college) or low income, but a lot of our students do appreciate when their mentor has shared lived experience with them.
