Do people mess up in behavioral interviews? I also don't see how people telling fake stories can tell anything about their personality. Thoughts? TC : 180k Yoe:6
Usually most interviewers can poke holes if they find out your story is fake. The details won’t add up
How? Has it happened to you? I find behavioral interviews to be the easiest and not sure if I have goofed up on those
If you lie well, no one will notice.. interviewers are not psycho therapists..
A good interviewer will dive super deep and will find inconsistencies in made up stories. But most of those good interviewers are in Amazon and Meta. There are very few in Microsoft. Haven’t heard about Google.

Bullshit. I got dinged by Amazon mostly by behavioral. And unfortunately I told them all real stories. I learnt it is not worthwhile to be honest. It is better to be more crafty in these interviews.
i failed the behavior. asked the recruiter why they said your answers was good but you didn't show enough interest or curiosity for the role. i guess i didn't ask enough question.

Can you please make me understand?
You learn a lot about people from how they answer behavioral questions. Sure, they can make stuff up, but someone who doesn’t give good answers doesn’t have the stuff and can’t even fake it. So it’s an effective filter in that sense.
