I've mostly been a financial data analyst at Bloomberg and I'm wondering what roles would be best at a FAANG company (preferably in the bay area) for someone like me. I'm hoping to explore more tech-related companies in the future, but I want to figure out which roles in FAANG might suit my expertise (or I'll find that my skills are most transferrable for?)
CorpDev most prestigious
CorpDev or Strategy. Both hard to get into without investment banking/consulting/top MBA
CorpDev at FB is like 10 people and all are superlatively good. Strategy all ex top 5 MBAs + McKinsey or Goldman
Following
FP&A might be the easiest switch-over. Corp Dev will likely pay well as others have mentioned. Strategy will be tough switching from data analyst but worth a shot. Biz Ops could also be interesting. Maybe talk to people in each of those roles and see if the work and lifestyle is what you'd want?
Just out of curiosity whats your opinion of your current work?
