I’ve only been putting money in ETFs like SPY, VOO, VTI etc all along. What are the advantages/risks investing in Mutual Funds and which one should I invest it?

Why does it matter? If I'm just doing vtsax or vti (or three fund portfolio with mutual or etfs) and never day trading then why does it matter? I'm not being smarmy, I'm genuinely asking. Is there really any major difference?

One advantage of mutual fund is that you can reinvest interest into the same fund without paying tax now (deferred) achieving compounding effect.
