Any insight what the prefered game engine might be to make a basic game for someone with no coding background? Have an idea for a 2D runner.
Unity has creator kit which requires no programming knowledge. There is even a 2d runner example as well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyvH-qaV8rk
Thanks! I’m familiar with Unity but haven’t seen these Creator Kits yet! Appreciate it
Stop being lazy and learn how to code. It is a great investment.
Ok, I’ll try to stop being lazy but I’m not sure I’ll have the energy.
You have energy to learn code, especially in a object oriented language like C#. Trust me and believe in yourself. JUST DO IT ✅
I have heard unreal is good
Unreal blueprints. You can make a whole game in blueprints, zero C++. (But I wouldn’t recommend it)
Thanks! I’ve heard of the blueprints in Unreal before so I’ll have to check out.
There are a few options available to the non-coder today which is fantastic for unlocking creativity. Here are a few popular ones: - GDevelop - GameMaker Studio - Construct 2 - Build Box As others mentioned both UE4 and Unity provide "codeless" environments as well.
Thanks for the insight - will take a look at those!
Unity doesn't have 'codeless' yet
It has plenty of options via the asset Store
Logcabin is the future
I would highly recommend you check out Roblox. Kids make games on the platform so you can too!
Never heard of Robles before but it looks sick! Thanks for the lead

If you seriously want to make a ground breaking game, then learn coding or make someone else do that part.
