If you could invest $1.5-2k per month in ETF/Mutual fund, which one would you choose? Do you go by previous returns, Morningstar ratings, fees or just look at the portfolio and invest? I did some research already and there are a couple of Vangaurd and Fidelity funds that I’m looking at. Any other suggestions?

Apologies for the frankness but very poor advice
*whoosh*
Please don’t look at previous returns or Morningstar ratings if you expect to make money out of your money. First questions are: what are your saving that money for? And when do you expect to need that money?
If you have no idea of what investing is about, start by deciding how long you want/can leave that money untouched, do screen by fees to not pay anything above median, avoid funds that are either way too far or way too close to their benchmark both in terms of performance and volatility, favor diversification (in style, market, asset class), and don’t trade funds, trust long term allocation

VT/VTI/VTSAX/FZROX/FZILX/any equivalent
I very much like the “any equivalent”. Where can I find those?
