Besides Netflix, what media companies pay well? Heard HBO pays competitively as well? Any other options?
Quibi
HBO pays diddly compared to Netflix and Hulu
If you want to include SiriusXM in the media umbrella, I can tell you they absolutely do not.
How does Sirius XM stay afloat? I just cancelled my subscription cause there was no way in hell I was gonna pay $200+ annually for radio I don’t listen to often.
Lots of promotional pricing. You call back now and you'll be able to get $4.99 a month for 12 months. People surf from discount to discount.
Hulu tech org pays very well. Top of market, minus the stock options but they have long term incentive cash. Non-tech pays OK but not as well as tech.
HBO pays like a regular tech company. I don’t think there is RSU. Depends on department. Some pays better. But nothing like high compare to FAANG.
HBO TC is about in line with Amazon. More than Microsoft, not competitive with Google or Netflix. I’ve heard horror stories about how little Disney pays. No idea what Hulu pays. Probably competitive with HBO.
More. Competitive with google
Hulu and Netflix are far above everything else. Expect a 25% pay cut minimum at other media companies.
Hulu does
They do for sure.
How’s the culture there? Are people generally happy? Are working hours long?
