I made three buckets. 1- companies I really want to work for. 2- companies I am OK working for. 3- companies I want to use for interview practice. The plan is to apply to all of the companies from the 3rd and 2nd bucket before applying to the companies in the first bucket. Is this a good strategy? Or should I just apply for everything all at once? Looking for tips on how to maximize leverage. Thanks TC: π₯
I personally would just apply to everything all at once and take all interviews. You don't want to miss out on oppurtunities from Bucket #1 because you were too busy with the other two buckets. In my experience though, the interviews for buckets #2&3 come a lot quicker than the interviews for bucket #1. So you will probably get a lot of practice in regardless.
Okay that makes sense, I applied to companies from the 1st bucket few years ago and recieved recruiter calls within 2-3 days, idk if things changed now, but I will keep that in mind.
I'd apply to 1 and 2 simultaneously. I wouldn't waste any of my time on 3.
Can you share your lists of companies and a few words about why they are sorted like this? :) Thanks!

Why no one cares about the lives lost in Gaza, Israel and busy in their own lives?
I would apply for everything all at once. Sometimes job postings get taken down fairly quick, so your dream job might not be there for as long as you think
