I generally love the amex platinum for travel perks and lounge access but booking through their portal kind of sucks .. I still prefer to book direct. Curious if you have a better experience with other cards like chase preferred or capitol one venture x ?
Capital One Venture X - hit me up for a referral on DM. 100K points plus lots of other benefits (priority pass, $200 airline credit, insurance for every trip etc).
Thanks .. I already have one, just haven't used it much yet
What kind of insurance it provides for trips ? Covers all iternary refund - car rental , tickets for tours etc if a trip gets cancelled ?
Venture X. I just drop my AE platinum for it. AE charge too much for useless benefits for me. Although I do love the AE customer service, will have to see how Capital One do.
Amex consumer service is excellent.. So yeah that's hard to give up
Miles/points cards are for wordcels. Shape rotators prefer cashback

Are any of these cards actually better than cash back cards? Amex blue cash preferred is 6% on groceries and 3% on gas. Citi double cash is 2% for everything else.
Yeah.. I need to do the math .. Chase preferred booking through hotels dot com had pretty good benefits (one free night after 10 bookings) but I like booking direct .. I don't get why the cc companies seem to prefer booking through their Portals which generally suck imho
Right, if I’m only saving like 200 a year I’d rather not deal with that hassle
