Hi all! Looking for the best credit card geared toward travel to Canada from LA, and back. Would be doing this on a monthly basis. Looking to be able to fly for free, or any perks that help with flying. Since I'll be flying often, I assume it should be easy to get good points. Thank you for your input! Amex platinum : 5x on airfare, hotels, amex centurion, priority pass lounge access, $200 flight incidental credit, enhanced travel interruption insurance Amex gold: 4x on restaurants, bars, groceries you should be able to get at least 2 cents per point value. which means a $1000 trip should get you around $90-$100 worth of points back, which is very good.
That's actually a steal! Bonus points is that my destination in Canada is Toronto almost all the time, and I believe the plat gets you through a faster security line. Not sure if Global Entry works in Toronto? I think out there it's Nexus.. EDIT: realize they also credit you for clear Has it been worth the annual fee? Can you pay rent with it to maximize earnings? (I can pay rent with a CC, even if it incurs fees I think it may be worthwhile for the points)
