Currently a sys admin for my local county. Finishing 6.5 VCP DCV this year, advice for career paths?
If you’re comfortable around people, you should consider a career as a solutions architect or a consultant. Not trying to promote my company, but you could do pretty well here :)

There are several ways to go. You can start by writing your own. It isn't that hard if you know programming and C. A tiny one, that barely is able to run dos is an achievement. It will also show you how much in depth you wanna go. Then you can contribute to vbox as well if you so wish to. I would start with writing an emulator first
