Is Musk going to accuse me of being a pedophile for NOT buying his truck?

Cybertruck looks pretty cool - just curious how much trucking u can actually do in it (500 mi range would probably be more like 250 or 300 with any kind of load).

If u have ever done off-roading or towed anything of significance, it can be a huge toll on ur MPG. MPG is usually determined with good driving condition. And no MPG are calculated assuming load. If you're driving a truck that makes combined 19-24MPG, when off-roading you will be lucky to make 9-12MPG. I don't see how a electric motor would be any different especially considering the amount of engineering that goes in to ensuring the most aerodynamic vehicle possible. Meaning, using the truck to do truck things will have a significant impact on your range. 500 miles is great as they have a larger platform for the batteries needed, but under truck conditions, that number is probably 200 - 350 depending on what ur doing. And hopefully the battery cooling system has been designed to handle the amount of work a truck might do. That being said, nobody is going to buy this to use it as a truck. It just looks cool and has food clearance...the fact that they wanted to show how tough it is by throwing sht at the windows is a good indicator that this is a model 3 with higher clearance.

As long as you can do 200mi in a single charge with maximum load/towing. It's practical enough. With the automatic cover, this can be used as a SUV too.

Say what you want, but I bet material design for vehicles in the next decade will move towards the design of the cybertruck
