IC5 in London. TC is ~60% of the US and paying more tax. The majority of my larger org is in the US where all the core technologies are located, whereas my team is doing boring, low value supportive work. Transferring to the US would allow me to work on more interesting stuff and open up the gate to opportunities. However, I would never get green card that way. (Country of Origin...) Bachelor so I won’t qualify for EB-2 or O-Visa. However, if I could level up to manager (M1) in a few years, L1A -> EB1-C looks like an attractive way. I have kids and have just settled in London. I don’t want to risk moving around every a few years because of losing visa. UK immigration is straightforward, life is not bad, though with lower TC and worse for career development. Obligatory TC: ~190k £ not counting refresher Correction: L1A visa: executive or manager from one of its affiliated foreign offices to one of its offices in the United States.
If you level up before moving to the US, you may be able to get an L1-A visa. The immigration team referred to this as a multinational manager visa. This is usually a faster path to green card, as the criteria to get this visa are very similar to the criteria to get a GC.

Is meta really worth the wait?
Stay. London is a much better city to live than the rat race MPK.
