Beware of cringe Linkedin influencers who waste your time pretending to help

Forgive me if I come across as rude, but there are a flood of influencers who are offering unsolicited advice pretending to help. There only purpose is to build a following and a brand. And then they will share their pearls of wisdom no one asked for. Im just saying it so that people donot waste their time following or interacting with such people. The only way to help someone in this situation is a referral. Not any piece of unsolicited advice. It is inhuman and selfish.

There are people who will comment on a lay-off post offering to help, but when you contact them that same day for help, they won’t bother replying to you. Makes me think their offer-for-help comment is probably some kind for virtue signaling for their LinkedIn contacts to see.

Yep. All virtue signaling. Those people are sociopaths.

LinkedIn gets worse and worse every year. Layoff sympathy posts, broems (the long one line then space posts), wedding anniversary posts about how amazing the support their spouse gave them through their career, etc. It makes me want to vomit.
