ECommerce Product
Is it due to Walmart Health business shutting down or across all business units?
Across all business units. Coordination occurring to ensure this all happens at once. I’m assuming there were unique circumstances for why Walmart Health was announced prior to this
Hmm..since Walmart is like a big employer in the U.S. think layoffs can be tricky since it can affect lives of 1000s if not a few millions But not sure if they'd think their business and tech employees to be such. Hopefully there's no layoff. Especially since the business gonna do better (since Amazon did well).
OP: Any idea about WFS Org? I am waiting to hear back from the recruiter with an offer. Not sure if I should join now.
Better hope your recruiter isn’t laid off. Not sure what this does to open roles though. Assuming internal displaced hires will be priority
Interestingly, a bunch of people lost VPN access today for a few hours. I wonder if it was a trial run.
Happened back in Jan across the entire company.
This is reading into things too much. That being said, there are other warnings if you read the internal Blind (I.e. PERM process being frozen)
What's the source? Haven't heard about any layoffs on our side
Wayfair getting internal grumblings of layoffs at Walmart ? So confused
Walmart Walmart or global tech? Or blue collar retail, in store, supply chain, stocking etc?
Corporate wide for US business (including tech)
