How much it matter to have companies like Google, Amazon,Uber on resume ?
Once you have them in your resume recruiters will hound you from the others. It’s a goldmine.
I agree, but may be the work is not as exciting as in small or mid size companies
Really depends
Doesn't matter. If I had a Google offer, I would reject it.
Orly?
It helps kind of, but be careful what you wish for. I got into FANG and was no happier there than before. In some ways less happy. Oracle’s been mixed and is noticeably lower quality than FANG. OCI is supposed to be better. Still hear from recruiters all the time.
Of course it helps to get your foot in the door. It also helps to have a big name university on there. A CS degree from UC Berkley, Stanford, UW, MiT - goes a long way.
Overrated. Find the best project team and people you want to work with and grow with.
Does this idea also apply if you interned at those companies or only full-time work?
Golden Ticket in the eyes of startup recruiters. It’s so important that founders often put a slide about how many big name engineers they’ve poached in their VC decks. Even if you were just an intern.
It matters a lot. Especially to get that first phone interview. But you do the best with what you got.
