My parents are retired, and I would like to reduce their overall financial load in terms of paying bills, etc, so that they have one less thing to manage Anyone managing their parents expenses(utility bills/insurance premium etc) directly from USA, using US based credit cards. Last time I tried using Chase credit cards, they got rejected in few websites(amazon, restaurants etc) Any other ideas you have implemented or automated remotely(USA) from here, which has made your parents life easier , that would be good to know 💡 #personalfinance #automate #expenses
Load some money in an Indian digital wallet like PayTM and that works pretty much everywhere. Your parents can own that wallet as well and you can load money into it easily
We use Paytm or direct transfer in their account. I have a savings account in India and we transfer it to the bank account that is linked with Paytm. We have also used our cc to load Paytm if needed
Wow . You can load payTM from USA credit cards ? Are there any fees involved ?
Chase sapphire preferred will work on Amazon.in
I use Chase amazon prime card on Amazon.in but it doesn’t work on Myntra. Myntra’s payment provider keeps flagging all my US based cards and blocks transaction. You need to also inform your card provider that you will be making purchases in India with the card so remove any kind of geo blocks they might have.
Does Paytm accepts any crypto?
Yes.. Only 🐕
Open NRO account. It's super convenient to use it for day to day net banking stuff. HDFC or ICICI I would recommend
You can use Chase reserve on Amazon now. Maybe get a NRE/NRO account and use for other expenditures in India. Transferring to nre/nro is fairly simple via remitly
Does it work on amazon.in website ? Last I tried to buy amazon gift cards INR currency to give it as gifts to few friends there , and it didn’t allow . I used chase sapphire preferred
Yes. I had a problem last month where the payments were being declined. But they have fixed it now. Not sure about gift cards
