What happens when most of your team is Indian?
India inflation is off the roof. Buying a decent house needs 3-4 crore
That is only like 350k. Still only about as costly as a U.S. town/small city.

12 million dollars allow you to live almost anywhere in the world, as the 4% rule states you have 480K at your disposal.
4% rule works only after you are 60 years (traditional retirement). Most IT folks are younger than that
People with options don't choose India
Poor everywhere.

I would choose to have less in the US because of India's population challenges and even more importantly, pollution. A billion dollars is worthless if you are diagnosed with lung cancer caused by environmental issues that are out of your control.
Take the 12M and go to the USA ? Go to the Himalayas? Go to some national park and build a resort? I am not surprised that someone working in an investment bank making dumb money decision ๐
The straight forward question was a millionaire in the US or billionaire in India (millionaire in USD), not taking your money from India to move elsewhere. It's not hard to guess where you live.
U r just two scams away from being back to millionaire in india ... First of all banks would attack you with all bullshit investment plans
