Hi Blinders, looking for suggestions and negotiation options for 10 yoe Backend Developer. How far I can go on negotiation? Does their variable annual bonus is fixed(for first year) or could change? How is WLB ? And yearly increase % for average performer? Group: Aladin product @ NYC Initial Numbers shared: Title Offered: VP Base: 190-200k Variable: 50k Sign on equity: 65k No seperate cash sign on Curr TC: 150k
No sure about the Aladdin branch but in investments VP numbers are: Base 150-200K with huge bias to 150K (quite surprise about your numbers). Bonus seems right :40-70K and sign on bonus seems right too :30-70K. There is not yearly increase in your base salary ( as far as I know) but for excellent performance gonna be reflected in your yearly bonus

Equity ? You mean like RSU awards? For VP there is not such thing (only from Director or higher, as far as I know) but you have some negotiation room in your sing on bonus.
Oh wow, I didn't know they offer 200K base to VP now. But with 10 yoe, that makes sense.
Seems they mixed joining bonus and RSU,recently one guy joined in our team as a VP (Atlanta location ) ,got $15 sign on bonus ,$50k RSU and $150k base , seems your numbers are reasonable considering NYC location
