I believe blind is struggling to monetize their platform & wouldn't be surprised if they do a layoff or get acquired by indeed-like company. They previously relied on targeted ads by tech companies looking to improve their brand awareness & talent attraction. Now that we're deep into a recession I think a lot of the ad money was pulled & they're attempting to pivot. Pivot #1 Job postings with the hope to monetize similar to headhunter site like indeed Pivot #2 Using 3d party companies to buy & sell their ad space (ex: you see a random pretzel ads now) Tc: 200k
Recession? Unemployment is at almost all time low. Consumer demand is almost at an all time high. The tech industry is only a tiny part of the economy.
Not in terms of TC.
Job market is only good for non-white collar jobs. You can get a job at a restaurant.
Perhaps blind market capture of a teeny tiny demographic just isn't that valuable.
Blind gets more hit in this environment.
Lmao they are trying to charge to change your username. Junk.
Must be desperate if they want to monetize usernames on a platform they advertise as anonymous
they could always sell their user data to employers.
Why only salt and no pepper?
But don’t you guys use blind more with all the layoffs
Yes, I used to barely use it, now it’s an every day thing. It’s comforting to see so many people in the same boat.
"deep into a recession" lol, okay.
If Fed has called out that we will enter recession after changing the definition , we are entering a deep recession.
Source: Trust me, bro.
I am spending less and less time here because I see the posts in the home page and hikes. Anonymous social network shows the true color of people and I don't think companies will put their ad money here
