It's because Blind is an anonymous forum and thus a good target for trolling. Right wingers know their beliefs are too dumb to admit to them publicly, and thus wish to lash out anonymously 😂
Age, sex, and wealth demographics mean that tech workers are one of the largest groups in the US with anything to "conserve", i.e. lower the taxes on their rental properties and Airbnbs so that their children don't have to work a day in the "meritocracy." When you're anonymous you can be intolerant. When you're intolerant you create a political echo chamber where the people who remain either agree with you or enjoy arguing with you.
